What is Self-Care?
Self-Care encompasses everything we do in order to take care of our own health and well-being, especially during periods of stress. Self-Care includes physical as well as mental wellness. When we're grieving, it's especially important that we eat healthy foods, get enough sleep, go for walks, see a doctor or therapist, connect with friends, play with our children and pets, take breaks from work, or simply say "no." And one of the hardest things to do as we navigate our way through grief is to ask for help. But asking for help from the people we love and trust is crucial as we attempt to care for ourselves during this most difficult time.
